Annadanam at Gottigere Ayyappa Temple
A Divine Offering of Food and Compassion
Annadanam is one of the highest forms of service in Ayyappa tradition, and at Gottigere Ayyappa Temple, it is carried out with devotion, discipline, and the collective support of our devotees. Every meal served here is prepared with pure intention and heartfelt bhakti, offering nourishment to both the body and the soul.
Annadanam on All Saturdays
Every Saturday, after the Harivarasanam, the temple conducts Annadanam for all devotees who visit. The meal is freshly prepared in our temple’s own pakashala (kitchen), ensuring purity, hygiene, and the traditional taste that reflects Ayyappa’s blessings.
Annadanam During Sabarimala Season
During the sacred Sabarimala season — from Vrischikam 1 to Makaravilakku Day — Annadanam becomes a continuous seva. Hundreds of devotees participate in this offering, making it a season of service, unity, and spiritual merit.
Throughout the Mandala-Makaravilakku period, Annadanam takes place daily after Harivarasanam, welcoming all devotees who seek blessings during this holy time.
Powered by Devotee Support & Donations
All Annadanam activities in the temple are sustained through the generous contributions of devotees. Every donation, big or small, directly supports the preparation of food, ingredients, and service arrangements.
Your support ensures that no devotee leaves the temple without a blessed meal.
How You Can Contribute
Devotees can extend support by offering:
Annadanam sponsorship
Ingredients or groceries
Monetary donations
Seva contributions during preparation or serving
Every act of giving becomes a blessing that returns multiplied.
A Service of Devotion, Prepared Within the Temple
Our pakashala is maintained with cleanliness, care, and strict adherence to tradition. All meals are cooked fresh within the temple premises, ensuring authenticity and spiritual sanctity in every serving.
